Spice Journeys film concepts all stem from the world of “The Spice Temple.” The first novel will continue into five subsequent novels, as well as shorter works sharing backstories or other adventures that are not revealed in the novels. All works have been designed for multi-layered storytelling, which allow for longer works or series adaptations.

Spice Journeys - Culinary Series (IN PROGRESS)A culinary series based on storytelling, featuring chefs and offering new ways to engage audiences An episodic series that mixes storytelling with culinary inspirations. The audience is drawn in first through a dramatized scene from “The Spice Temple” novel. Each scene demonstrates why what happens at the table is so important while showcasing dishes inspired by real world-class chefs. Then guided by the cultural or creative context, a chef recreates a dish to inspire the audience to create and connect. This is followed by conversations, challenges, and ways to engage beyond just consuming the episode. Production team currently being built (Autumn 2024).

The Spice Temple - Series or Feature FilmThe world of the grand villa comes to life through film (Book-to-Film) “The Spice Temple” novel is the first of six as well as shorter works. With its multi-plot, layered, and modular structure, it can be easily translated into a series, feature film, short films or animations. The rich character backgrounds allow for the storytelling to continue into shorter back or side stories not revealed within the main works. |

The Hidden Garden - Animation SeriesA timeless animation series to sharing rituals of positivity from within a hidden garden Based on a pivotal backstory from “The Spice Temple” novel, this collection of short stories draws in audiences through the mystery of having to hide away. Inspired by Covid, they demonstrate through timeless rituals “how to go within when you can’t go out.” Potential for short film or series, and engaging brands and creatives. |

Playlists, Dramatized Podcast, and Sound ExperiencesSound adds dimension to storytelling Music is a key theme in the story, and sound is part of the novel experience. A soundtrack to the novel is available Spotify. The dramatized podcast features music, soundscapes and a narrator that evocatively breaks the fourth wall.
